Frequently Asked Questions
Which navigation link should I follow?
If you are walking you can put in your navigation “Dario Restaurant” (323 N Washington Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55401) and it leads you directly to an area close to the Green. Once you get to Dario, walk around the corner and you will see our Venue.
If you are driving, add the navigation link to “Ramp C” or to “North Loop Green Ramp”. There is no public parking directly at the site. All parking around the perimeter are reserved for vendors, performers etc.
Is the Market free to attend?
Yes, the Market is free to attend. Looking forward to welcoming the entire community at our family friendly event!
Why is it called a German style Christmas Market?
The concept of the outdoor Christmas markets set-up in wooden chalets started in Germany and in German speaking countries in the 1300-1400s. Over the last 4 decades the Christmas Market concept has spread in Europe and since the 90’s it has even become popular in North America.
Is it outdoors?
Yes, it is outdoors but there is a heated warming tent.
Are there any restrooms?
The restrooms are located inside the North Loop Green building next to the Basset Hound Bar.
Are the vendors local?
All vendors are small, individual businesses and many are women and/or BIPOC owned. Most of them are from the Twin Cities, some from Minnesota and a few from the Mid-West.
Where is the best parking?
The Ramp C and also at the North Loop Green parking ramp are very close to the Venue. The A & B Ramps are located within 2 blocks.
Is the event dog friendly?
You can bring your dog to the North Loop Green premises – there is even a small dog park. We don’t encourage to walk your dog through a busy Christkindl Market though as it might not be a pleasant experience for any pet.
Are there any group offers?
Yes, we are offering VIP Experiences for any group booking over 10 people. It is a voucher booklet with food, drink and mug vouchers with a value of $50 per person. Feel free to contact us about this offer via the contact form on the website?
Is there something to do for children?
It is really fun to walk around with your kids making them enjoy the German Holiday traditions. We offer kids activities such as ceramics painting and wooden star decorating. They are free to all children. Santa is also visiting on some days.
