Burbach’s German Potato Pancakes & Schnitzel
Traditional German Potato Pancakes are a vital part of every Christmas Market in Germany. Our authentic recipe originates from Braunschweig, Germany. You can watch Nick fry the Kartoffelpuffer as they are called in Germany on a flattop grill in oil until they achieve a deep brown crispy outer shell that gives way to an almost creamy interior. They are traditionally served with apple sauce but you can also enjoy them with sour cream. We are sourcing our apple sauce and cider from Pinetree Apple Orchard. Our Schnitzel is a pounded pork cutlet which is breaded and deep fried. It is served with a delicious Mushroom Gravy and a side of fries known as a Jaegerschnitzel Platter.
